Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated 27 September 2026.

Home Beauty Spa may earn a commission when a reader follows an outbound link to a retailer and buys something. This page explains what that means, what it does not mean, and why it never changes what we publish.

What an affiliate link is

An affiliate link is an ordinary link to a retailer or manufacturer that also tells that retailer the visit came from us. If you go on to buy something, the retailer may pay us a small share of the sale. It costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is the retailer's price whether you arrive through our link or type the address yourself.

Why we use them

Our articles are about conditions, evidence, and what the research supports. When an article concludes that a particular ingredient or approach is worth considering, it is useful to show readers where to find a product that matches that conclusion. The link is a convenience attached to a conclusion the article already reached.

We do not write articles in order to sell products. The article comes first and is written on the evidence; any commercial link is fitted afterward, and only where it genuinely fits. If nothing fits, nothing is linked.

What a commission never buys

A commission never determines what we cover, what we conclude, or how prominently anything appears. No brand pays for coverage or placement, no brand reviews an article before it publishes, and no commercial relationship survives a finding that the evidence does not support a product. How we assess evidence, and what disqualifies a claim, is set out on How We Review Our Products.

We are not the seller

We do not sell anything on this site. We do not take orders, hold stock, process payments, ship goods, handle returns, or provide product support. When you follow a link to a retailer, your purchase is a transaction between you and that retailer, on their terms, with their pricing, their warranty, and their returns policy. Their site's terms and privacy policy apply there, not ours.

Programs

Home Beauty Spa has applied to affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program, and is not yet participating in any of them. Where we are accepted, and a page carries a link under that program, the disclosure that program requires appears on that page, and this page will name the program.

Where you will see this disclosed

A disclosure appears on every article, above the point where any commercial link could appear, whether or not that particular article carries one. The same commitment is part of our terms of use.
