What we publish
Home Beauty Spa is a XencoLabs publication operated by Xenco Labs Inc.
We cover at-home skincare and beauty devices — actives, formulations, routines, LED masks, microcurrent, microneedling, and the claims attached to all of them. For each one we go back to the published literature, work out what it can actually support, and write that down.
Sometimes the answer is that a well-known ingredient does less than its reputation suggests. Sometimes it is that an expensive device is doing something real. We publish either result, because the point is the finding and not the recommendation.
Why it works this way
Most beauty coverage rests on personal impression, and personal impression is the weakest evidence there is about a product whose effects take twelve weeks to appear. Reading the primary research is the alternative, and it is genuinely tedious — dense, paywalled, and written for specialists.
Doing that reading and translating it is the entire job here. Every claim we make carries its source at the foot of the article, so nothing on this site has to be taken on trust.
