I’ll never finish this can. The taste is very dry, and texture very clumpy-/hard to dissolve. Nothing like actual chocolate.

Plant your day, plant-based vegan protein powder in “chocolate vanilla” flavor. The first thing I noticed upon opening the lid was how finely milled the powder was. After retrieving the scoop there was quite a bit of the fine powder outside of the jar, particles in the air, etc. definitely something I was not used to, but not a dealbreaker either.Reading the ingredients I am impressed. It’s a good solid assorted blend of proper vitamins, minerals, pre-and probiotics, antioxidants, super foods, herbs, and more. The container itself gives the promise of a nice high-end product. Clearish amber, beautiful label and font/logo. And the price point to match. My first sample was on Christmas Eve. I needed something that would keep me going, not rise my blood sugar, and not fill me up too much. Until dinner that is LOLI followed the instructions to the letter. Are used two scoops, 3/4 cup of my choice of non-dairy milk – unsweetened almond milk – although I feel it was not enough milk. You can tweak the liquid content to your liking. I did add in 4 ice cubes. I used my blender to blend everything up quickly and efficiently. The ice cubes helped it stay cold, and added a little bit more thickness versus just milk and stirring on its own.Now for the taste…. I probably will be in the minority when I say this, while I cannot say it was completely unpalatable, I cannot sing its praises from the rooftops either.I don’t want to say it had a chalky taste, that’s not it, I did not really taste like a strong chocolate or vanilla flavor. It definitely had that “protein” taste. But, it went down quickly, it certainly did the job.I loved that within the hour upon checking my blood sugar, it was not skyrocketing. There is only 1 g of sugar per serving i.e. two scoops. It definitely filled me up until dinner later on that night. I like that there is a good amount of fiber, not a lot of sodium, just the right amount of fats needed to be healthy and have energy, the same goes for all of the additives i.e. vitamins, iron, etc.The next day, I did not want to pull out the blender.I decided to do two scoops in a regular cup, with a little more milk this time, it did not blend well under this circumstance. I was not using a “shaker cup”. I was using a regular cup, my unsweetened almond milk, two scoops of powder, and a good sturdy spoon, then butter knife. I ended up with a lot of little lumps that broke down into “powder balls” in my mouth. That truly did disappoint me.Mixing this w/frozen fruit, bananas, frozen spinach, and a Chia flax seed blend made a lovely & filling drink.Again the powder definitely does not carry the flavor profile very far. It’s not overwhelming, it’s not strong, it’s possibly a little underwhelming. You get roughly 12 servings- if you use two scoops per serving for around $60 – that is the current price on Amazon at this time.I do believe that the ingredients are high-quality and assorted. In a good way.The consistency of the powder. That doesn’t really make or break this review. When it came down to it I just did not understand the flavor. It said “chocolate vanilla” and it did not go too far into the chocolate or the vanilla.Like I said definitely a healthy protein flavor with a hint of what could be chocolate.I thought maybe my taste buds are off, but people around me agreed. But again everything here is personal opinion. In the end you will definitely get a high-quality powder. I do believe it’s a little pricey. And that will definitely factor into buying in the future.Roughly 5 dollars a shake. Which if you go to any shops out there that make smoothies/Health drinks you will find this to be a normal price range.

This is actually a mixture of a protein powder and green drink combined. I like doing protein powders but a lot of the time they are lacking in nutrients so I just love the idea of having this also be a green drink. I like green drinks but find them to not be very filling and sometimes I want to use them in place of a meal and have to add my own protein powder to them so this takes away from the work and time. The quality of this powder is superior to other protein powders and even to other green powders alone. This has quite to the assortment of ingredients. There are many ingredients in here that aren’t typically found in these type of powders and this really covers a broad range of nutritional needs and then some. For example, not only does this contain vitamins and minerals but it even includes probiotics, tumeric, acai, ginseng, chlorella, milk thistle, aloe vera and cinnamon, among many others. This is great for that digestion, inflammation, energy levels, eyes and many different areas and functions of your body. I’ve already noticed a large increase in my energy and production levels since beginning this.I really wanted to give this 5 stars because of the nutritional values it has but I did feel I needed to take one star away because of the taste. Going off of the product description and the label on the container I was expecting the taste of this to be chocolatey with a hint of vanilla but in all actuality it is bland. I can barely taste the chocolate and I cannot taste the vanilla at all. It requires some major tweaks for it to be enjoyable. That being said, I find adding my own Cocoa powder, milk and stevia to spruce it up a little.

This PlantYourDay Plant-Based Vegan Protein Powder was something I was excited to try out, as I’m vegan and am always on the lookout for mixes that utilize plant based ingredients that I can make into a shake or add into a smoothie for an extra boost in the day. This does the job, although the taste isn’t that compelling. I like adding it to smoothies for a slight chocolate flavor, though – but the serving size and amount of powder used is a large amount. This is a very large canister, but since TWO scoops are the recommended amounts per dose, there’s only 12 servings in this. The scoops are quite large, too, so you have to add enough (OK, a LOT) of liquid to use them effectively if you’re not using them in smoothies – which is kind of inconvenient. You’re not going to get the best bang for your buck with this, as there are a lot of other cheaper alternatives out there. The flavor is actually kind of mild and has an earthy “seed” taste to it, and it’s not very sweet (which is fine for me when adding to smoothies, but others may not like it when added to unsweetened almond milk). It’s an OK supplement, but I wish you could get more servings out of it to be effective. YMMV!

I appreciate the growing number of truer natural products – whether vegan, vegetarian or just plain healthy. The first time I used this protein powder I had to dig deep into the jar to get the scoop. No problem since that was a one time issue. However, the powder was nearly impossible to mix with a spoon. Our blender had been packed away as we prepare to move so I didn’t want to get that out. But I did. The difference is…well…measurable. You are nearly required to use a blender to get this broken down in a way that allows the shake to be tolerated.Speaking of tolerated, the flavor either way is not the greatest. It has a bit of a weird aftertaste that makes an otherwise enjoyable drink (once blended with a powerful blender…) not so good.

Taste wise, this was quite a good chocolate shake. It mixed pretty smoothly and was easy to consume. I thought it was a bit on the sweeter side, which ensured no yucky, weird tastes considering all those healthy ingredients.I used this as a breakfast supplement but it honestly didn’t fill me up all too much and I felt I still lacked a lot of energy. I am a mom of two toddlers, so I need all the help I can get. I honestly expected a little more from it because I truly felt no different. It was easy and convenient, but left me hungry not long afterwards.I still appreciated getting all those vitamins in a very effortless way though.I would not get this again.
